Evaluations

Comprehensive Evaluation Services

We provide expert assessments that identify a learner’s unique strengths and needs. Our evidence-based recommendations are designed to bridge the gap between potential and performance.

We offer two pathways for our evaluations:

  1. Private-Pay: Families may book and fund evaluations directly with us at any time to gain immediate insights and support.

  2. Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE): For parents who disagree with a school district’s assessment, we provide IEEs at no cost to the parent (funded by the district) as protected by federal and state laws (IDEA, CFR 300.502, and NJAC 6A:14).

Psychological Evaluations

A psychological evaluation identifies cognitive strengths and challenges to inform individualized recommendations. These assessments are available for both children and adults. For students struggling academically or emotionally, understanding neurological development is the first step toward securing the interventions and accommodations necessary to reach their full potential.

Educational Evaluations

These evaluations measure academic performance in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and math. We determine if a student is gifted, performing at grade level, or in need of targeted support. These assessments are particularly effective for screening underlying skill weaknesses or as a follow-up to recent cognitive testing.

Social History Assessments

To support a child, we must understand the whole child. This assessment provides a comprehensive look at developmental history, health factors, and cultural influences. By examining early learning experiences and family dynamics, we provide the context necessary to understand your child’s learning environment and personal strengths.

Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA)

Our staff conducts school-based assessments to identify why specific behaviors occur and how they impact learning.

  • The Process: These evaluations are individualized and rigorous, typically involving 6–8 weeks of data collection, multiple observations, and consultation with school staff and parents.

  • The Outcome: Rather than a clinical diagnosis, the FBA focuses on behavior patterns and the creation of a detailed Behavior Intervention Plan.

  • Note: Because behavior is fluid, ongoing consultation is available as a follow-up service.
